The Research on One Health Outcomes team (ROHOTeam), based at the International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI) in Nairobi, is led by Dr. Elizabeth Cook. Our team is dedicated to advancing research on zoonotic diseases, food safety, and food security, with an interdisciplinary approach that integrates human, animal, and environmental health. By fostering collaboration with academic institutions, government bodies, and other stakeholders, we aim to develop sustainable solutions for the complex challenges that arise at the intersection of these areas.
ROHOTeam operates through regional hubs in Kenya (Nandi County, Samburu County), Tanzania, and Uganda, enabling us to conduct wide-reaching research. These hubs enhance our capacity to address local issues while contributing to a broader understanding of the interconnectedness of health within the One Health framework.
